M. Dalbert Ma

I am a PhD candidate in Strategy and Entrepreneurship at London Business School.

My current research centers on digital platform competition, ecosystems, and industry evolution following idiosyncratic regulatory shocks. My prior paper titled "The Deceptive Efficiency of Smart Contracts" was listed on SSRN's 2020 Top 10 Recent Downloads ranking for Behavioral Economics, Behavioral and Experimental Economics, and Private Law, respectively.

I earned my BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of York, LLM with a specialization in competition law and intellectual property law from Erasmus University Rotterdam, and MSc in Management from IESE Business School.

Prior to academia, I have worked at the People’s Bank of China specializing in financial technology research, Deloitte Financial Advisory in infrastructure project financing, and Evolution Ltd studying digital currency ecosystem design.
